West Boylston – Sheriff Guy Glodis was presented an “Outstanding Partner Award” today by Worcester County 4-H in recognition for a number of new programs and initiatives implemented in conjunction with 4-H over the last year and a half. Ms. Penny Marston, Director of the 4-H’s “Since taking office, Sheriff Glodis has worked tirelessly to establish local and regional partnerships with groups like 4-H,” Ms. Marston said. “He has given us so much support, and we’re truly grateful for everything he’s done.” In April of 2005, the Sheriff donated the remaining horse in the Sheriff’s Department stables, a 15 year-old draft horse, as well as riding saddles and jumping equipment. More recently, the Sheriff’s Department has partnered with the Worcester Police Department and “One of my goals has been to use the resources of the Sheriff’s Office to support groups like 4-H and give them the resources they need,” Sheriff Glodis stated. “Penny and everyone at Camp
