Worcester – Working closely with officials from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division, Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office successfully arrested 16 men last night and early this morning on charges of non-payment of child support. In all, the 16 offenders owe a total of over $507,000 in outstanding child support. |

This is the first time in the Department’s history that a written exam will be used to determine eligibility for rank promotions. |

West Boylston – Flanked by various state officials and fellow Sheriffs, Worcester County Sheriff Guy Glodis was today awarded Accreditation by the American Correctional Association in a ceremony held at the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction. The Sheriff was joined at the presentation by Chairman Maureen Walsh of the MA Parole Board, Undersecretary of Public Safety Mary Beth Heffernan, Essex County Sheriff Frank Cousins, Jr., and Hampshire County Sheriff Robert Garvey. |
